Situé dans le nord nord ouest cette partie a la particularité d'être vallonnée et accidentée mais aussi entourée par la mer de Tasmanie et des plages de sable jaune rouille.
En effet ce sable provient du fait que cette côte est remplie de granite. Le granite étant constitué de fer, avec le sel de la mer cela crée de la rouille et donc crée cette couleur.
After having visited Queen Charlotte Sounds in the north of the South Island we took the direction to Abel Tasman National Park.
Based in the far West north this area has got the particularity to be hilly and damaged landscape but also surrounded by the Tasman sea and rusty sand beaches.
Indeed this sand belongs to the fact the coast is full of granit rocks and containing iron with the salt of the sea creates rust and therefore creates this color.
